KFC outlets in the UK are trialling edible coffee cups called 'Scoff-ee cups' which are cookie-lined wafer cups laced with mood-enhancing scents.

The Scoff-ee cup is made from biscuit wrapped in sugar paper that is lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate.

The infused scents include coconut sunscreen, freshly cut grass and wild flowers, reportedly to evoke memories of summer holidays and warm weather.

The cups are part of a marketing push to launch Starbucks brand, Seattle Best Coffee at UK KFC outlets, and are the result of a collaboration with UK experimental food development company The Robin Collective.

The innovation is reminiscent of The Milk & Cookie Shot, a chocolate chip cookie shaped into a shot glass, served warm and filled with cold, vanilla-infused milk, created last year by Dominique Ansel, the inventor of the doughnut croissant hyrbrid known as the cronut.
