Digital freight and logistics platform, Ofload, is continuing to push for growth and strategic expansion – with the appointment of former WiseTech Global group financial controller, Harmen Fredrikze, as its new chief financial officer. The decision follows the recent hire of former Woolworths innovation director, Dean Newman, as chief operating officer in May.

With the cold chain and reliable freight being critical for regional food security in Australia, Ofload works to connect brands including Asahi, Saputo, Metcash, and Noumi with carriers to fill empty shipping capacity, utilising the thousands of kilometres of journeys per year otherwise wasted, and reducing CO2 emissions.

As the company continues to grow, Ofload has brought on experienced industry professionals in senior roles to support its expansion. With over 20 years’ experience in global technology and software companies, the company stated Fredrikze brings deep financial expertise and a proven track record of scaling operations in high-growth environments.

“Ofload is at a pivotal point in its growth,” said Fredrikze.

“I’m excited to join a company with such a strong mission and momentum, and to help build the next chapter alongside a highly talented team.”

He joins from ASX-listed WiseTech Global, where he was group financial controller. Prior to that, he was acting CFO and group controller for ASX-listed software multinational Bravura Solutions, which he guided through its IPO in 2016.

Ofload founder and CEO, Geoffroy Henry, said the company was delighted to welcome Fredrikze into the team.

“He’s led finance at some of the fastest-growing and most complex businesses in the game,” said Henry.

“His experience will be crucial as we continue scaling with discipline and pace.”
