Brand engagement agency, Asembl, has continued to help companies shake up the flavoured milk category, with the recent brokering of a flavour collaboration between Unilever Australia’s Weis brand and flavoured milk, Breaka.

Unilever Australia’s senior brand manager for the snacking & refreshment portfolios, Juliette Fleming, said the company was thrilled to see two iconic Aussie brands come together to offer Queenslanders a delicious category exclusive.

“The new Breaka Weis Mango & Cream flavoured milk is a refreshing tribute to our sunny state's vibrant flavours and our shared Queensland heritage,” said Fleming.

Inspired by the iconic Weis Mango & Ice cream bars, the Breaka Weis Mango & Cream flavoured milk aims to capture the true taste of the sunny state, delivering a great tasting, refreshing mango and cream flavour with no artificial colours or flavours.

Asembl managing director, Justin Watson, said: “A true flavour of Queensland fun the Breaka Weis Mango & Cream flavoured milk is a very exciting first flavour collaboration between Unilever Australia’s Weis brand and Breaka. The Breaka Weis Mango & Cream flavoured milk is a limited-edition low fat flavoured milk that tastes just like the sunny state of Queensland.”

Asembl also recently coordinated a deal for Australia’s oldest dairy co-operative, Norco, to release a new range of flavoured milks inspired by Minecraft.

Breaka Weis Mango & Cream flavoured milk 500ml is now available from grocery and convenience stores across Queensland for RRP $3.95.

Packaging News

Plastic resin made from recycled milk and juice bottles at a Pact-operated recycling facility in Melbourne meets US FDA safety requirements for use in HDPE food and drink packaging.

Packaging and IT recycling operation Close the Loop anticipates its second half EBITDA will fall by 50 per cent compared to the first half, on revenue that at around $99m will be similar to the first six months.

It's a pause, not a pivot: APCO has confirmed it will delay its proposed EPR fee model until beyond FY27 following industry stakeholder calls for more regulatory clarity, fairer fee structures, and time to prepare.
