Ball & Doggett, Australia’s largest distributor of printable materials, equipment, and press consumables, has added a new product range to its offering, called Essential Packaging, expanding the company's portfolio to cover secondary and tertiary packaging materials used in warehousing and logistics applications. 

As its name implies, the new range includes all the essential materials required to package up finished goods and products to send to customers, whether this be in bulk on a pallet or smaller items via ecommerce, post or couriers services. This includes stretch film, tape, pallet strapping, and protective packaging.

Ball & Doggett's general manager Labels & Packaging, Leigh Hooper, says  this new offering is the result of partnerships with a number of globally recognised manufacturers.

“Now, with the introduction of our Essential Packaging range, while customers are ordering a pallet of paper or packaging board, rigid sheets for signage applications, rolls for labels, or inks for their printing press, we offer the convenience of ordering the full gamut of essential packaging materials,” Hooper said. 

“Our Essential Packaging portfolio allows greater convenience, as it’s all from one supplier, on one purchase order, received on one timely delivery, with everything on one consolidated invoice.”

“These types of time saving in any size business can be significant and deliver huge cost savings,” he noted.

Hooper says Ball & Doggett is mindful of the impact that packaging can have on the environment, which is why two thirds of the new product range comprises sustainable, environment-friendly packaging solutions.

Hooper concluded, “This is an exciting development for the Ball & Doggett business. From a service aspect, our intention is to offer our customers convenience and efficiency within their supply chain to allow  more time for working on their business, rather than in it.”
