Global software company, Ideagen, has acquired two leading specialist software platforms, Authenticate and Safefood 360°, aiming to create an end-to-end ecosystem for compliance and transparency across the global food industry.

The company stated this launch underscores Ideagen’s dedication to enhancing food safety and sustainability while offering meaningful solutions that address the complex challenges of modern supply chain management.

Over 16,500 companies use Ideagen solutions to help solve complex quality, risk, audit and compliance challenges, including 65 per cent of the world’s best-known food and beverage brands.

Ideagen told Food & Drink Business that the company’s main target regions are the UK, US & Australia. With locations in Sydney and Perth, Ideagen has been pushing for a stronger Australian footprint – making several local acquisitions since 2023. The latest was Damstra Technology in mid-2024, joining CompliSpace (December 2021), OnePlace Solutions (May 2023), Lucidity (October 2023), OpCentral (November 2023), and Ideagen Plant Assessor (January 2024) as part of the company’s Asia-Pacific footprint.

Bringing together Authenticate and Safefood 360° alongside Ideagen's existing supply chain solution (formerly Qadex), the company is rebranding the three services as Ideagen Food & Beverage Solutions, which it states will deliver unmatched "farm-to-fork" visibility, aiming to ensure food safety, ethical sourcing, ESG compliance and regulatory alignment at every step of the supply chain.

Ideagen CEO, Ben Dorks, said it is important that consumers can trust that the food and drink put on tables to feed their families is safe.

“For our food and beverage customers, the emphasis they place on safety is key to maintaining trust and loyalty with consumers. Their ability to grow as a business depends on it, but they’re working with increasingly globalised, complex supply chains,” said Dorks.

“Integrating these two proven solutions with our existing Ideagen portfolio means we can now provide the most comprehensive supply chain solutions purpose built to support the food & beverage industry.”

The launch of Ideagen Food & Beverage Solutions aims to address an increasing demand for solutions that meet growing regulatory requirements and the need for sustainable and transparent food systems.

The new division combines the core strengths of the three platforms to deliver an integrated, end-to-end compliance and transparency solution covering food safety, ESG, ethical sourcing, supplier management and regulatory compliance in a single ecosystem. The technology will feature AI-driven insights, real-time monitoring and automated compliance workflows to streamline complex processes and proactively manage risks.
