Higher prices on some fresh produce has been predicted as a result of ruined crops and flood damage caused by Cyclone Debbie.
Australia's winter food bowl, the north Queensland region, is a major source of fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, capsicums, eggplant, pumpkin, cucumber, beans and corn.
Tomatoes and capsicums - which account for the majority of Australia's winter supply - look to have borne the brunt of the weather, although delays in planting other crops due to flooding, as well as damage to roads, could affect supplies, and as a result, prices.
The damage to grower infrastructure, such as packing sheds, is still being determined.
The sugar cane crop around Mackay was flattened by Cyclone Debbie, although much of that crop is salvageable, according to reports, and that industry's infrastructure has fared fairly well.
