The Women Founders and Funders Singapore Pitch Showcase is returning on 5 November, to spotlight and celebrate women-led entrepreneurship as a driving force in building regenerative food systems and resilient economies.

According to Pitchbook in 2024, teams including female founders raised 27 per cent more capital than the year prior, with $38.8 billion closed, but across 13.1 per cent fewer deals than 2023.

More female-founded companies reached venture-growth stages last year, but valuation disparities with male-founded companies widened – combined with female-only founding teams receiving just 2.3 per cent of venture capital funding in 2024, with $6.7 billion of the $289 billion invested. More women-led ventures are reaching growth stages but the road to equity is uneven.

The Women Founders and Funders program selects 10 women founders, who are currently raising Seed to Series A rounds, to give a 3-minute pitch in-person in front of a curated audience of investors, corporates, media and the wider agrifoodtech ecosystem.

The chosen founders will also receive mentorship from partners, pitch coaching and valuable in-person networking opportunities with corporate leaders, investors, influencers, fellow founders and entrepreneurs at the event.

Last year, over 180 leaders came together for an evening during Singapore International Agrifood Week to hear 10 female agrifoodtech entrepreneurs from Australia, China, Singapore, and the UK pitch their pioneering technologies and products.

This will be the fourth annual Women Founders and Funders Singapore, complementing the annual San Francisco event of the same name with the series founded by FTW Ventures. This program collaborates with strategic partners Better Earth Ventures, MarTech Collective, Rebbeck Consulting, and Tomorrow Studio Ventures.

Better Earth Ventures director, Rebecca Sharpe, said Singapore stands at the crossroads of innovation and opportunity for agrifoodtech startups expanding into Asia, yet real traction in the market demands more than ambition – it requires trusted networks and visibility.

“Women Founders and Funders isn’t simply about recognition,” said Sharpe.

“It’s about building a bridge, one that connects high-potential female founders with the decision-makers, investors, and partnerships that can transform bold ideas into enduring impact. It’s an invitation to scale with purpose, in a space designed for inclusion.”

Founder applications close on 31 August 2025, with 10 selected to present on 5 November. Head to betterearthventures.com for more information and to apply.
