Almond Breeze is hosting a nationwide “latte art” competition in celebration of the growth of the almond milk category, which has overtaken soy in dollar retail sales.

Almond milk is now the fastest growing dairy alternative, according to Almond Breeze, which is currently hosting the Almond Breeze Breezey Masters for the second year.

Almond Breeze Breezey Masters is a nationwide competition that visits each state, inviting baristas to compete to craft the most create latte art.

They must use Almond Breeze Barista Blend, a food-service only almond milk variety that Almond Breeze has designed especially for coffee.

The company has also partnered with multi-award winning latte artist Emily Coumbis, who's latte creation is pictured above, to create a masterclass on the growing trend.

According to Almond Breeze, coffee art is growing in importance due to the need for today's baristas to deliver a “unique coffee experience”.

Almond Breeze Australia and New Zealand country director Mike McNulty said the company worked with top baristas for a year to create its Barista Blend.

“The response has been overwhelming and what better way to celebrate than with colourful coffee,” McNulty said.
