It was Tegan Jane's children wanting to be a part of her daily tea ritual that inspired her to develop a tea suitable for little ones. Tiny Tea Kids is the result, a 100 per cent natural tea with organic, ethically sourced ingredients, and recyclable or biodegradable tea bags and packaging.

The range has four flavours which are caffeine free with no added sugar. Jane said: “I wanted children to relate to the flavours, so I decided to create flavours they already knew to having flavours that are seen as appealing, but in a healthy form.”

There are four flavour infusions in the range:

  • Lemonade – natural lemon peel and lemon myrtle;
  • Fairy Floss – maple flakes and rose petals;
  • Tropical – orange, pineapple, and blood orange; and
  • Grape Bubblegum – grape and blueberry.

Ingredients are currently sourced from Canada, Egypt, Albania, and Australia.

Tiny Tea Kids comes in a pack of 14 tea bags for $23.95, which is around $1.70 per bag. “That is a fraction of the price compared to other healthy and unhealthy drink options for children on the go,” Janes said.

The Tiny Tea Kids range is available worldwide through Tiny Tea Kids’ website.
