The country might still be feeling the winter chill, but Remedy Drinks is gearing up for summer with a new healthy take on soft drinks called Sodaly.
Sodaly is a 100 per cent, natural, no-sugar, prebiotic soft drink that Remedy says was developed to deliver a healthier take on the classic soft drink experience, without comprimise.
It follows a global trend towards functional health-based innovation, with prebiotics in particular rising up the ranks. In the US, functional soft drink sales grew 465 per cent in 2021 and the global prebiotic market is set to reach $9.5 billion by 2027.
Woolworths category buyer Anthony Pipikios said, “Woolworths has carried a range of Remedy products for many years and we're proud of the growth and the loyal customer base they've achieved. The drinks category is filled with innovation, and we’re delighted to be partnering with Remedy to offer a healthier, Australian made, all natural soft drink to consumers around the country.”
Remedy Sodaly is made with a base of apple cider vinegar, which delivers gut-friendly prebiotics that can aid in digestion and deliver other benefits like enhancing immunity and healthy skin.
Remedy managing director Chris Gillard said the business undertook significant market research to ensure Sodaly would meet the changing needs of consumers.
“People want great taste, low or no sugar, and all-natural options they can trust, ideally with added functional benefits,” Gillard said.
Remedy Sodaly comes in six popular, fruit-forward flavours including Raspberry, Lemon Squash, Passionfruit, Orange, Guava and Lemon, Lime and Bitters.
Sodaly is the first drink to be produced in Remedy’s new, targeted 5 star Green Star rated fermentary in Melbourne; the largest fermentary of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
Sodaly is available for a RRP $3.00 for a 250ml can.
