Peters Ice Cream brand, Connoisseur, has launched a new format for its Pistachio Gelato flavour following its successful launch last September, now landing in stores on a stick.

Once a regional Italian ingredient, pistachio has become a global flavour phenomenon, emerging as one of the fastest-growing flavour trends in the last year. Following the success of Connoisseur’s Pistachio Gelato 1L tub, the brand is reimagining pistachio in a premium gelato stick format, aiming to deliver indulgence on the go.

Inspired by Italy’s finest artisan gelaterias, Connoisseur’s Pistachio Gelato stick features smooth pistachio gelato, encased in a rich choc layer with roasted pistachio pieces for added texture and depth. The new product joins the Almond Biscotti Gelato sticks, launched last year.

Connoisseur senior brand manager, Vanessa Mason, said pistachio has well and truly earned its legendary status.

“Australians can’t get enough of it, with the success of our Pistachio Gelato tub showing there was a clear opportunity to take this flavour to the next level. Launching it as a gelato stick lets fans enjoy pistachio in a whole new way,” said Mason.

“With recipes inspired by Italy’s most iconic dessert traditions, and a nod to what’s trending now, Connoisseur’s Pistachio Gelato stick delivers an elevated taste experience that celebrates flavour, craftsmanship and the simple pleasures in life.”

Connoisseur’s Pistachio Gelato stick is now available nationwide at leading supermarkets in 4-packs for RRP $12.00, and in loose-packs at petrol and convenience stores for RRP $6.00.
