Pernod Ricard is calling for ambitious university graduates with a passion for wine, a desire to travel and an entrepreneurial spirit to become a Graduate Wine Ambassador or a Graduate Winemaker.

Successful applicants will travel around the world with some of Pernod Ricard Winemaker's wine brands, which include Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate and Campo Viejo, to receive hands-on vintage experience and training.

On the program, graduates will visit up to three wineries around the world and spend time at Pernod Ricard Winemakers’ global head offices as part of a two-year placement in key international markets or wineries.

“The launch of the new Pernod Ricard Winemakers Graduate Program forms part of our commitment to invest in, nurture and grow the winemaking talent of tomorrow,” says CEO and chairman of Pernod Ricard Winemakers, Jean-Christophe Coutures.

He says the program will provide graduates with an opportunity to gain invaluable experience, participate in world class training and work with leading wine industry experts from all over the world.

These bright new stars will enrich our teams, spark innovation and lead brand advocacy for our wines globally as either Graduate Wine Ambassadors or Graduate Winemakers,” Coutures says.

Graduate Wine Ambassadors, the representatives of Pernod Ricard Winemakers in the market, will take part in training programs, gain industry qualifications (including the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Certificate) and gain hands-on experience of wine operations, marketing and sales in Australia, New Zealand and Spain.

Graduate Winemakers will take part in a two-year program working with wine experts from around the world who will assist them in developing their technical knowledge. They will gain practical winemaking experience during vintage, either in Australia, based in the Barossa Valley or in New Zealand, based in Marlborough and Hawke’s. Additionally, they will gain exposure to other areas of the business such as marketing and sales.
