WA-based power and automation technology group ABB has introduced a new remote condition monitoring service.

The service includes an expert analysis report on the drive’s condition and issues email alerts regarding potential faults.

Making use of information about how equipment operates and why it could fail can let users maximise drive performance and extend its lifetime.

ABB’s Remote Condition Monitoring uses remote data to identify early signs of possible system failures or production problems.

For example, the service can spot overheating, which could cause unplanned production breaks and eventually damage the drive.

A customer portal enables users to monitor live data such as availability, condition, operating parameters, and fault events remotely.

Customised performance reports with clear charts and graphs can also be generated.
