Chadwicks, a producer of pre-cut lidding, is set to showcase its latest sustainable lidding solutions at this year’s APPEX. John Harrison, technical sales manager for ANZ and Chadwicks’ chief technical officer, Paul Whelan, from the UK, will be at stand C001.

The company will demonstrate its polypropylene (PP) die-cut lidding, a mono-material solution that it says is 100 per cent recyclable. PP lidding offers excellent puncture and tear resistance and is suitable for various products, including dairy, snacks, dips, and convenience.

Harrison said, “These lids help food manufacturers meet the growing demand for mono-material packaging designed for recycling. They also allow for energy saving as the sealing temperature of the lid is 100 degrees Celsius lower than conventional aluminium and PET lidding.”

Also displayed will be Chadwicks’ newest product development, a resealable lid. This lid removes the necessity for a plastic overcap whilst keeping products fresher for longer.

“By offering a resealable pre-cut lid, we can help customers increase packing efficiency and reduce plastic usage,” added Harrison.
