Company fined $120k for labelling error

Inside Out Nutritious Goods has been fined $120,000 and $75,000 in costs after supplying incorrectly labelled bottles of almond and oat milks to Woolworths. The milks required refrigeration below 5C at all times, but were labelled, “Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 5 days”.

Itinerant Spirits opens EOIs for crowdfunding campaign

Itinerant Spirits has opened expressions of interest for its upcoming equity raise through OnMarket. Since launching in October 2023, the company has sold over 40,000 bottles of its vodka and gin, and is planning to release its first whiskey soon.

French cultivated meat company applies for ANZ approval

Suprême SAS (Gourmey) has become the first European company to obtain regulatory approval for a cultivated meat product, from the Singapore Food Agency. It has now set its sights on the Australian market, applying for its cell cultured duck to be used as a food ingredient under the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) Code.
