Construction of Youfoodz new 13,700 square metre facility in Berrinba, Queensland, will bring together all three of its production sites as well as marketing, administration, and distribution.

The new energy-efficient and environmentally friendly facility will:

  • significantly increases production capacity;
  • increase raw material demand from 160 tonnes processed per week to 550 tonnes and higher over time which will benefit local primary producers who provide approximately 90 per cent of ingredients; and
  • provide world-class food and employee safety through the application of leading technologies and purpose-built design.

Streamlined food handling processes and industry-leading food safety standards will allow the site to feature a two-level office structure, containing a mix of structured and flexible working zones, a fully equipped gym, lockers with shower facilities, a full menu development kitchen, photography studio, meeting spaces, and training rooms.

The site also presents the opportunity to further support Australian growers and suppliers with enhanced capabilities including a 24/7 cooking system and the ability to cook 550 tonnes of produce per week.

Youfoodz founder and CEO Lance Giles said the site was expected to be completed in October.

Berrinba Logistics Hub is in an established industrial precinct, which takes advantage of key motorway networks providing access to key metropolitan areas.

The Youfoodz facility will consist of food chillers and freezers along with food processing equipment and will be built to the Youfoodz and LOGOS standard specification, which is higher than market quality with key features with key ESG initiatives incorporated into the facility design.

Wiley is managing all aspects of the build including design, process engineering and construction.

“Youfoodz world-class manufacturing facility is a testament to what is possible when homegrown Brisbane businesses attract new investment and collaborate with strong partners.”

Brisbane Economic Development Agency has supported Youfoodz to expand and we’re eager to work with other businesses to mirror this success,” said Schrinner.

At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
