PureBred has launched a gluten-free range of hot cross buns for Easter to cater for the one in 100 people who are on a gluten-free diet.

PureBred says its new Hot Cross Buns have been specifically created with the dietary needs of those with coeliac disease and other food allergies in mind.

They are high fibre, wheat free, gluten free, dairy free, soy free and nut free, but they still taste just like the real thing.

The gluten-free hot cross buns come in packs of four, are generously spiced, fruity and have a soft, fluffy consistency with a crisp, bread-like crust.

PureBred hot cross buns are best served plain, toasted or oven-warmed with some butter.

Until recently, taste and texture has been a major issue with gluten-free products. PureBred says its hot cross buns deliver a mouth-watering taste and consistency and are perfect for those with delicate stomachs.

PureBred hot cross buns are available nationally at Coles at RRP $6.
