Food processing, X-ray inspection and industrial hygiene equipment expert FPE has had a brand refresh after operating for 37 years of operations.

The updated brand identity, mission statement and new website pay homage to founder Brian Carey, who started the business with one product in 1983 and designed the company’s first logo.

It symbolises the organisation’s growth, from supplying a single meat processing product to the diverse and cutting-edge food industry offering it now provides, FPE said.

The second-generation family business is now run by Carey’s daughters Tania and Jodie, who are focused on setting a new standard within the industry as an equipment supplier.

FPE general manager Tania Carey said: “The idea behind the rebrand was to create a new identity for FPE. We are in our 37th year of business and we aren’t the company we used to be.

“There is no question the meat industry is where we specialise, but the products that now make up our range are no longer just for meat. We have new and exciting products, we have new and exciting customers, it’s a new era for FPE, so this is exactly the right time for a new brand.”

The company’s new ‘why’: “We believe trusting the food you eat begins with the equipment it’s produced with” is a reflection of the organisation’s total commitment to the food industry and its consumers, from primary processing all the way to the table, she says.

FPE now provides equipment maintenance, spare parts and training as standard, as well as a 24-hour helpline for all X-Ray inspection customers.

Carey said the rebrand was the culmination of several years, starting with the company’s Adelaide headquarters’ refurbishment in 2017.

“Over the years, as the food industry has evolved, particularly with the rapid growth of the ready-meal market, FPE has developed and diversified to meet the needs of contemporary food producers.

“We now supply world-class machines from thirteen industry-leading machinery manufacturers, including Grasselli, DC Norris, BCH Ltd, Eagle PI, Elpress and SYSPAL,” she said.
