Its launch coinciding with the latest Oxford English Dictionary update, which has added 11 new Australian slang/words – including “slab

Streets Golden Gaytime ANZ brand manager, Helen Zhang, said, “There’s nothing more Aussie than a slab, and now you can enjoy one solo, in the sun, or straight from the servo. It’s big, bold, and unmistakably Gaytime.

The two-toned treat has a slab of rich toffee and creamy vanilla, sandwiched between two vanilla biscuits.

 “Golden Gaytime has cemented itself as an Aussie icon, brewing a cult following among loyal fans. Now there’s a new way to crush your big snack cravings, with a Golden Gaytime Slab,” Zhang said.

Golden Gaytime first launched in 1959 and has become a beloved classic for generations of Aussies. From past flavours such as Devil’s Food, Pina Colada, and Unicorn, to collabs like the Golden Gaynetto. The Golden Gaytime Slab is the latest twist.  

It’s available at petrol and convenience stores across Australia.
