v2food has launched its plant-based sausages into Coles for one week only, as it looks to attract Aussies looking for an alternative to cut down on their meat intake.

The sausages are made from soy protein, coconut oil, onion, garlic, thyme and parsley while aiming to deliver on the flavour and textures of classic meat sausages.

“v2sausages were a natural evolution for us. Snags are synonymous with the Australian summer BBQ season and we wanted to serve up a new alternative for meat-lovers and plant-based enthusiasts alike,” said v2food founder and CEO Nick Hazell.

“We’re on a mission to help consumers make a better choice, one sausage at a time, for their health and the health of the planet.”

The new release follows onto the success of its v2minve and v2burgers launched in Coles, Woolworths and Drakes Supermarkets last year.

The v2sausages will be in Coles stores nationwide until 27 January for RRP $9.00 for a pack of eight.
