The Group aims to help the collective’s goal to support the “livelihood of [around 100] grape growers, and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise to ensure their vineyards thrive and grow”.

Its first Collectively Better range includes five wines:

  • The Murder 2017 McLaren Vale Shiraz;
  • The Shadow 2019 Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir;
  • The Quiver 2019 McLaren Vale Grenache;
  • The Fever 2018 McLaren Vale Grower Blend, and;
  • A limited-edition varietal, The Siege 2019 McLaren Vale Shiraz.

“Like paddock-to-plate, Grower Wines by The Group represent an exciting movement in the Australian wine industry,” said Moran.

“The Group’s collaboration with a Grower-Owned Collective paves the way for the hard-working growers and supports the local, real people behind the label. Establishing these connections is how you create honest, authentic and quality produce – whether its food or wine.”

The Group core wines (The Murder 2017 McLaren Vale Shiraz, The Shadow 2019 Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, The Quiver 2019 McLaren Vale Grenache, The Fever 2018 McLaren Vale Grower Blend) are available in Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market Stores.

The Shadow Pinot Noir, The Murder Shiraz and The Siege 2019McLaren Vale Shiraz will also be available in selected Liquorland stores.

Packaging News

The merger between packaging giants Amcor and Berry is now complete, with the all-scrip deal creating a company with some 400 packaging plants, and 75,000 staff, located in 140 countries.

Pact Group is facing softening demand in Q4, citing Donald Trump’s tariffs, the ongoing domestic cost of living pressures, and supply chain disruption with shipping container supply tightening.

Raphael Geminder is following through on his stated intention to delist Pact Group in light of his failed takeover of the company, and has set 16 July as the date he wants it off the ASX.
