New Zealand snack brand, Proper Crisps, has launched its latest and spiciest product – with the release of the Chilli Crisp.

Inspired by the international craze for chilli oil, Proper Crisps’ Chilli Crisp aims to deliver a fiery flavour explosion that evokes the mouth-tingling taste of consumers’ favourite chilli oil, straight from the kitchen pantry or a local café.

Chilli Crisp features a bold blend of Sichuan peppers and chilli flakes ground in-house, with a sprinkle of chilli powder for an extra kick. The product aims to deliver a savoury, mouth-watering experience that will keep snackers coming back for more.

The new Chilli Crisp is gluten-free, dairy-free, and free from additives and preservatives, in keeping with its extended range.

Proper Crisps senior brand manager, Hayley Lewis, said the new flavour will ignite the senses, with a crisp that’s daring and addictively delicious.

“At Proper Crisps, we’re not serving up a cute little sweet chilli. We are all about Proper Crisps, Proper Heat,” said Lewis.

“Chilli is the top-performing flavour in premium potato crisps in Australia. That’s why at Proper Crisps we are raising the bar with our latest Chilli Crisp creation, catering to passionate chilli lovers who crave a bold, fiery kick.”

Proper Crisps 150g Chilli Crisp is available at Coles Local for RRP $6.90, and the full range can be viewed at propercrisps.com.
