Two new cold pressed extra virgin olive oils have joined the Kakadu Plum Co’s line-up of products, featuring two native Australian flavours.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with Lemon Myrtle is suited for salads, vegetables, fish and chicken, while the Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with Tasmanian Native Pepper adds a subtle pepper finish and is best for grilling and marinating.

The Kakadu Plum Co. founder and director Tahlia Mandie said working directly with Traditional Owners and Indigenous Australians who wild harvest many of the natural bush foods and ingredients helps to broaden the exposure to the wider Australian market.

“I was driven about sharing this incredible product and story and highlighting the amazing foods that have been growing on this land for thousands of years,” said Mandie.

“To be connected to Traditional Owners and communities is an incredible honour.”

While it is not an Aboriginal-owned business, Kakadu Plum Co. has a mission to celebrate Australia’s native bush tucker superfoods.

The new Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with Lemon Myrtle, and infused with Tasmanian Native Pepper, are now available for RRP $17.95.
