Lindt & Sprüngli has expanded its range of international-inspired flavours, following the success of its Lindt Dubai Style edition last May, with the launch of the company’s new Lindt Tokyo Style Chocolate.

Lindt launched its Dubai Style Chocolate last year in a limited-edition block, inspired by the viral trend, to such popularity that the range was expanded to include praline gift boxes and individual bars.

Now the company has been inspired by the traditional green tea flavour from Japan. The limited-edition chocolate block features creamy white Lindt chocolate, filled with a blend of matcha, fruity strawberry pieces, and crispy Genmai – rice roasted in traditional Japanese style. Its nutty aroma and crunchy texture create an exciting taste experience.

Lindt master chocolatier, Thomas Schnetzler, said trends come and go, but some flavours stand the test of time.

“Matcha is one of these, celebrated in Japan for centuries, and today enjoying a true renaissance,” said Schnetzler.

“Lindt Tokyo Style Chocolate is a textural delight, combining the earthy elegance of ceremonial grade matcha with the creaminess of our signature Lindt white chocolate. We can’t wait to hear what Australian chocolate lovers and Lindt connoisseurs think of this new unique take on matcha, the Lindt master chocolatier way.”

Lindt Tokyo Style Chocolate is now available at Lindt chocolate shops across Australia and online at lindt.com.au while stocks last, for RRP $20.00.
