Lindt & Sprüngli has expanded its Dubai Style Chocolate range, adding praline gift boxes and individual bar options to the selection, which kicked off with the successful Dubai Style Chocolate block launch in May. The range will be available at Lindt Chocolate shops across Australia for a limited time only.

Originally created in 2021 by Sarah Hamouda of FIX Dessert Chocolatier, Dubai chocolate has since gained viral fame. The Lindt master chocolatiers got to work creating a Lindt recipe of the popular flavour trend, and have since made the popular flavour available in more formats for Australians to try.

Lindt master chocolatier, Thomas Schnetzler, said the company’s team is always attuned to the latest developments in the chocolate world, continuously experimenting with flavour combinations and craft innovative creations.

“At Lindt, we’ve long embraced pistachio as a flavour, pairing its rich, nutty warmth with our signature chocolate. But when we saw the popularity of this unique combination of soft filling and crispy texture, we saw an opportunity to craft our own Lindt version,” said Schnetzler.

“Interestingly, it was some of our apprentices in the German factory who first brought the idea to management, and soon, the first delicious samples were created.

“What sets Lindt’s Dubai Style chocolate apart is, of course, the unmistakable quality of our chocolate. To achieve that deep, nutty flavour, we use a generous 45 per cent pistachio paste in the filling, complemented by caramelized pistachio pieces and toasted Kadayif. When combined with our signature Lindt chocolate, the result is a truly magical taste experience,” he told Food & Drink Business.

The two new variations have launched in Lindt Chocolate shops across Australia and online at lindt.com.au – with the Lindt Dubai Style Chocolate box of 9 pralines retailing for $26.00, and the Lindt Dubai Style Chocolate bar for $8.00.

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
