An Australian-made functional soda, packed with protein and prebiotics, has hit shelves in over 100 wellness centres, healthy grocers, and recovery hubs nationwide. JiM is the latest beverage to jump on the functional trend, aiming to bridge the gap between elite fitness and everyday wellness.

Each can packs in 5g of protein, organic prebiotics, BCAAs + L-glutamine, and contains no sugar or caffeine – a first-of-its-kind in Australia’s wellness drinks market, according to the company.

Breaking onto the scene in three nostalgic flavours, JiM is available in Golden Pash, Lem’n’Ade, and Rarr-Berry. The products are produced in Melbourne using Australian suppliers and manufacturing.

JiM co-founder, Aimee Tawhai, said fitness drinks have been dominated by gym bro culture for years.

“Intimidating labels, overly sweet and artificial formulas, and ingredients that don't actually do anything, but what about the rest of us? The people who want to feel good, value our health, and recovery but aren't sure where we fit in,” said Tawhai.

“I wanted something I’d drink myself. Something I’d give to my mum. Something that actually worked and actually tasted yum.”

JiM is now available online at wedrinkjim.com for RRP $59.00 in a 12-pack, and will soon be available via Healthylife, Woolworths’ official health and wellness partner.

Packaging News

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
