Four Pillars Bloody Pinot Noir Gin is back for a third time around, a balanced blend of locally sourced Yarra Valley Pinot Noir grapes and the Four Pillars’ O.G. Rare Dry Gin that has become a favourite of wine and gin-lovers alike.

This year's limited-edition Bloody Pinot Gin is a lighter, paler and more delicate gin than its Bloody Shiraz Gin counterpart, with aromas of rose petals, strawberries, cherries and a hint of fresh acidity.

The ‘Bloody’ gin range was how the team was first introduced to now Four Pillars Gin head distiller, Sarah Prowse, as she oversaw the production of the Bloody Shiraz Gin harvest in 2017. Having played both sides of the field, the company stated Prowse has a rich understanding of aroma, balance, weight and texture has helped build the quality of this gin with each release.

“The 2025 vintage was picked from mid-February, and the Pinot Noir grapes showcasing a stunning depth of colour, beautifully ripe tannins,” said Prowse.

“Whilst slightly riper than last year, the grapes were still showing delicate perfume characteristics and flavour that we’ve come to know and love about this particular varietal.

“Bunches were perfectly formed, slightly smaller, with better tannin development, enabling us to pick and soak the whole bunches in high-proof Rare Dry Gin before pressing them off. This technique adds texture, ripe tannins and almost an amaro characteristic to the gin, helping to balance out the ripe red berry sweetness of the grapes,” she said.

With only as many bottles available as grapes could be picked for this limited release, the gin is expected to fly off the shelves.

Four Pillars Bloody Pinot Noir Gin will be available to the Four Pillars email database from 6 August and to the public from 12 August online at fourpillarsgin.com and the Gin Shops at the Four Pillars Healesville Distillery and Four Pillars Surry Hills Laboratory, for RRP $84.00.
