Melbourne-based company Berringa has launched a new range of premium Manuka honey sourced from Australian hives.

Containing no artificial additives, colour or flavours, the collection includes four antibacterial grades of Manuka honey using ‘MGO’ (methylglyoxal) methodology.

CEO Joe Baini says the company has worked closely with several specially selected apiarists across Australia.

Berringa’s products are sourced from bees that feed on Australian tea tree plants in wild, pristine coastal areas in Eastern Australia.

The range includes MGO 120+ (suitable for everyday use), MGO 220+ (for general wellbeing), MGO 400+ (an aid for digestive health), and MGO 900+ (for wound care and digestive health).

According to Baini, Berringa Manuka Honey has an antibacterial component that sets it apart from other types of honey, together with premium bioactive qualities.

The range has been tested and verified through independent (Australian Government) NATA-accredited laboratories, and is available in 250g and 500g containers for oral and topical use.

Each Manuka Honey jar also comes with an ‘authenticity tracker’, allowing customers to track the actual MGO level for that jar as independently tested by a NATA accredited laboratory.
