T&G Global has strengthened its home turf position with its acquisition of Freshmax NZ. Kim Berry writes.

As 2019 drew to a close, T&G Global (formerly Turners and Growers) announced it had entered an agreement to acquire the domestic fresh produce division of Freshmax NZ for $30 million.

T&G Global CEO Gareth Edgecombe says it is a significant opportunity to expand and strengthen the company’s presence in New Zealand.

“[W]e believe it will be a welcome catalyst of change to drive more efficient and effective ways of working with New Zealand growers and retailers,” he says.
