A champagne maker has released its latest variety in a gifting case which can be hooked up to a smartphone for playing music.

Designed for the festive season, the limited edition Music Box houses the Lanson Black Label Brut NV from the family-run champagne house Lanson.

Consumers can dock their smartphone in the top lid, enabling an amplified sound when music is played from the device.

The Music Box combines visual elements such as the Maltese Cross and illustrated instructions to draw attention.

The House of Lanson and its winemakers have been crafting champagne using the traditional (non-malolactic) method for over 250 years.

The gift set has an RRP of $52.99 and will be sold through Dan Murphy’s from 9 November.
