The Pro-Pac Group (PPG) has partnered with the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), the leading industry voice of packaging sustainability to lessen the impact of packaging on the environment.
We are delighted to announce that PPG have been granted approval through APCO for our Barrier Laminated Polypropylene trays to be treated as kerbside recyclable, meaning they can be placed in a household recycling bin.
Our trays will be processed through National Recovery Facilities, sorted into the appropriate channels and added to the recycled polypropylene materials, fulfilling the PPG sustainability philosophy of reduce, re-use and recycle.
The APCO exemption allows all customers purchasing PPG branded trays from Pro-Pac Packaging to attach the Recyclable ARL logo in relation to the tray portion of their packaging.
Only PPG branded trays are approved under this exemption. Black trays will not pass through PREP due to the use of carbon black.
