Absolut has released the Keith Haring Artist Edition bottle in Australia, marking a renewed collaboration with the late pop artist nearly four decades after his original design for the brand.

The bottle features Haring’s signature red, yellow and blue palette, with his characteristic dancing figures and bold lines. The design is a reinterpretation of the artist’s 1986 work for an Absolut campaign, which placed the brand’s bottle silhouette at the centre of four original paintings.

According to Absolut, the new edition reflects a shared belief that “art is for everybody”, transforming Haring’s two-dimensional artwork into a collectible three-dimensional piece. The bottle also includes the artist’s signature and a hand-drawn rework of the Absolut medallion.

To accompany the release, the company has created the Absolut Haring Fizz, a cocktail inspired by Haring’s travels and his connection to New York. The drink blends apple, orange, sesame and ginger, with a golden hue designed to echo the colours of the artwork.

Kristy Rutherford, marketing director ANZ at Pernod Ricard, said, “Following a hugely successful Absolut Warhol release in 2024, we’re keeping the creative energy flowing with the launch of Absolut Haring. Haring’s work captured everything Absolut stands for art that’s open, joyful, and for everyone.”

David Stark, founder and CEO of Artestar, the global licensing and creative agency representing the Keith Haring Studio, said the project revives “a moment that meant so much to Keith”. He added: “It’s a wonderful tribute that allows anyone to engage with this special story that started back in 1986.”

The Absolut Haring Artist Edition follows last year’s Absolut Warhol limited-edition release and continues the brand’s series celebrating pop art figures. The limited-edition bottle is available in 700mL and 1L formats at major retailers through November and December, for RRP $52.00.

Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
