Confectionery company Wrigley Pacific has appointed the former general manager of Mars Food France as its new general manager.

Patrick Gantier has plans to drive growth in gum, mint and confectionery categories on the back of a major relaunch of Extra chewing gum.

The company also distributes Starburst, Skittles and Eclipse mints.

As a subsidiary of Mars, Wrigley Pacific was jointly recognised as one of Asia’s Best Multinational Workplaces of 2016, ranking at number eight in the Great Place to Work Awards.

It was the only manufacturing business in the Top 10.

Gantier joined Mars Food France in 2008 as marketing director before becoming general manager in 2011.

Prior to joining Mars, he worked for 12 years in various marketing roles in France, Central Europe and the US for French multinational cheese manufacturer BEL.
