South Australian brewer Coopers has opened its own alehouse at Sydney Airport’s T2 domestic terminal which will sell Coopers products exclusively to thirsty travellers.

Until now, the only airport with a Coopers Alehouse was in Adelaide, in the brewer's home state. Coopers chairman Glenn Cooper said the new Alehouse offered a “fantastic opportunity to put the Coopers name in front of vast numbers of travellers from all over the country”.

According to Cooper, the first Coopers Alehouse at Adelaide Airport has been operating successfully since it opened.

“Now with the opening of our second Alehouse, we are currently considering similar future projects," he said. “This is an exciting development for the entire Cooper family and we couldn’t be more proud.”

The Coopers Alehouse at Sydney Airport will be operated by the Emirates Leisure Retail Australia, owners of Hudson’s Coffee and various other bars and cafes at major Australian airports.
