The Cake Bake and Sweets Show, modelled on a British expo of the same name, is heading to Sydney for the first time in March.

The three day event will target home baking enthusiasts and cake makers as well as sugar art, baking and pastry professionals.

The expo aims to give bakers at all levels the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge through demos, classes and seminars from celebrity chefs, artisan bakers, cake artists and chocolatiers.

Companies can also showcase the latest baking and cake decorating ingredients, tools and equipment.

Another area will be dedicated to foods in this indulgent category including chocolates and freshly baked breads, pies, brownies and pastries.

The show is being organised by National Media and will be held at the Sydney Showgrounds from 21 to 23 March next year.
