Judith Swales will head up Fonterra's Oceania division, starting next month.

Fonterra CEO Theo Spierings said the Oceania arm was comprised of Fonterra’s Australian business and its New Zealand consumer businesses, including Tip Top.

Swales has been the co-operative’s managing director Australia since 2013, following leadership roles with Heinz Australasia and Goodyear Dunlop Australia.

“By having Judith lead Oceania we're ensuring the growth of our brands on both sides of the Tasman," said Spierings.

Spierings said a number of Fonterra’s consumer brands, including Mainland, Perfect Italiano and Anchor, were sold across Oceania.

Swales will remain based in Melbourne.
