Camel dairy farm, Summer Land Camels, has completed its OnMarket crowd-sourced funding campaign – raising over $700,000 from 460 investors to support the company’s international expansion.

Summer Land Camels has identified significant international demand for camel milk products, and the funding will help accelerate the scaling plan required to service these markets. The next phase of growth will focus on scaling operations to capitalise on emerging export opportunities, particularly in the US.

Initially announced at the end of January, the raise attracted a community of new shareholders who see the company’s unique vertically integrated camel dairy business and growing international potential.

The majority of investors participating in the campaign were Australian residents, with most based in Queensland and New South Wales.

Summer Land Camels founder and director, Paul Martin, said the company was incredibly encouraged by the response.

“Many of our investors are people who have supported the brand for years and are excited to now be shareholders as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Martin.

“Our priority now is executing the scale-up strategy to deliver on the US export opportunity.”
