Schibello Caffé says a new Research & Development Roasting Laboratory at Rhodes in Sydney’s north-west will help it embrace the “future coffee experience”.

The new roasting facility, which is situated next to the Schibello Caffé headquarters, includes a boutique roaster to enable Schibello Caffé to perform cupping session and experiment with small batches of new blends. The laboratory is also available for Schibello clients who want an exclusive coffee blend developed for them.

Schibello was founded 15 years ago by Ross Schinella and Tony Sorbello to introduce Italian espresso to Australia.

In addition to a dedicated roasting laboratory, the facility features a coffee training academy for aspiring baristas and an on-site espresso bar called Next Door where they can practice their skills.

Next Door also showcases Schibello Caffé’s product range, including coffee blends, tea and coffee machines, partners’ products and other items needed in a café or espresso bar set-up.

“The new Next Door by Schibello espresso bar is not only a celebration of our achievements to date. It’s the embodiment of our idea for a holistic coffee experience,” Ross Schinella, CEO of Schibello Caffé says.
