Pie Face, which went into voluntary administration last month, will close 20 of its 72 stores, following a review by the company's administrators.

Of the 20 closures, 18 are company-owned stores, and two are franchises. This will leave 12 company-owned stores and 39 franchises, and these will continue to trade as normal.

"There has been some necessary rationalisation, and as a result of these closures, approximately 130 part-time employees will have their employment terminated," Sule Arnautovic, the managing partner of the company's administrator, Jirsch Sutherland, said.

"The closures and terminations are being made in order to preserve the ongoing business.”

The closures, which are split across several states, will result in the loss of around 130 jobs.

Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
