A new bite-sized savoury pie product from Patties has proved a hit with consumers, capturing an eight per cent share of the party category in just eight weeks since it was launched.

Sales of Patties Pie Bites, moreover, are responsible for an 89 per cent slice of total party category growth over the period, according to Aztec Scan data of national grocery.

Patties brand manager, Peter Sheedy, says the bite-sized party format, and ease of storing, serving and enjoying, has made Patties Pie Bites popular.

The pies only take 10 minutes to heat up, and the 750g resealable packs contain 45 Pie Bites, according to Sheedy.

Patties Pie Bites are available in three flavours: beef, chicken and vegie curry, in the freezer of supermarkets nationally for a recommended retail price of $9.99.

Patties Pie Bites are also available in larger packs for the foodservice sector.
