German software company, Paessler, has appointed Dinesh Senanayake as its new chief operations officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO), effective May 2024.

Since Paessler developed and introduced PRTG Network Monitor in 1997, it has gained over 500,000 users across 190 countries which use Paessler solutions to monitor IT, OT and IoT infrastructures. Now, Senanayake has been appointed to lead strategic growth and innovation for the company.

Senanayake has held management positions in founder-led, publicly listed and private equity businesses, bringing a range of experience to Paessler. He previously held the COO and CFO positions at Ventiv Technology, where he integrated financial and operational management.

The company stated that his authentic leadership style in guiding founder-led businesses through change will be invaluable to Paessler, following the recent strategic investment made into the business by Turn River Capital.

Paessler CEO, Helmut Binder, said the company was proud to have such a versatile talent joining the management team.

“Dinesh understands international markets and knows how to build business operations while maintaining financial efficiency. I am confident he will help us expand our business and tackle the challenges ahead,” said Binder.

Looking ahead, Senanayake said that he aims to navigate new markets by driving innovation, and enabling customers to save resources through monitoring.

“I see tremendous opportunities to drive growth in this exciting new phase for the company, and highly value the trust of our customers and employees,” he said.

“Driving innovation, harnessing the capabilities of our new investor, and navigating the challenges and opportunities ahead of us will be an inspiring chapter in my career. I am committed to ensuring operational excellence for our customers.”
