Organic poultry company, Inglewood Farms, which went into receivership in July along with its parent, RM Williams Agricultural, has a new local owner.

The south-east Queensland business has been bought by Australian agribusiness owners, the Youngberry family, for an undisclosed price.

Inglewood Farms has about 80 per cent market share of the organic poultry meat market and the sale includes the organic poultry farm and a processing facility which is capable of processing 27,000 birds a week.

The company has been managed by receivers from PPB Advisory who continued to operate the company. PPB Advisory said most of the company's workers will be retained.

According to the receivers, interest in the business was strong both domestically and globally.
