Sugar and chocolate panning expert Anthony Raponi has been given The Alfred Stauder Award for Excellence in the confectionery industry.
 
Raponi is best known for developing the Kit Kat Caramel Chunky and Kit Kat chocolate block for Nestle.

The Alfred Stauder Award recognises research, development, and marketing contributions to the confectionery industry.

Raponi's award was presented by previous recipient Neil Smith of Mondelez, as well as Tim Piper from Ai Group's confectionery sector, at the ConTech 2016 Industry Dinner in Melbourne.
