Nestlé has partnered up with Coeliac Australia to offer gluten free guidance to food outlets.

 

According to Nestlé, gluten free is now the most frequent dietary request in foodservice, and affects 1 in 10 Australians and rising, and operators will miss out if they dismiss this “huge growth opportunity category”.

 

The new Gluten Free Practical Guide from Nestlé Professional was co-authored by the leading authority on gluten free, Coeliac Australia.

 

Research conducted by Coeliac Australia shows the gluten free consumer is very loyal, and a good gluten free dining experience will deliver repeat business.

 

The Gluten Free Practical Guide aims to provides information and tools to arm operators with the knowledge they need to put gluten free into practice, focusing on sourcing, segregation and service. The pack also includes a Nestlé Professional product brochure, which includes gluten free boosters, gravy mixes, sauce mixes, soup mixes, mash and dessert mixes.

 

“Without good supporting processes in the kitchen, it’s a challenge to provide a reliable gluten free menu,” said Accredited Practising Dietitian & Brand Nutritionist at Nestlé Professional, Karen Kingham.

 

“Our partnership with Coeliac Australia allows us to support operators in taking the steps they need to deliver gluten free meals that their customers can trust.
