Consumers have taken to Nescafé's Facebook page to protest the reformulation of its Cafe Menu instant coffee range.

Nestlé recently announced on the Nescafé Facebook page that it had improved the taste of the range, making it creamier and frothier than before.

However, dozens of consumers have headed to the site to voice their dissatisfaction with the changes, and Nescafé has responded by blocking some of the most vigorous complainers and by removing some complaints from the site, according to a Fairfax Media report.

Nestlé Australia reportedly said the new product was developed based on feedback from customers who said they wanted a creamier cup of coffee. According to extensive testing, it said, consumers preferred the new taste.
