Mondelez has rolled out a campaign aimed at attracting adult consumers to The Natural Confectionery Co's dinosaur range.

Following on from the 2004 ad which featured a child uttering “don’t chop the dinosaur, Daddy!”, the latest commercials feature the characters of Greg the Stegosaurus, Bronte the Brontosaurus, Rex the T-Rex, and Steve the Snake in everyday settings.

The ads tell the story of three dinosaur friends gathering in the kitchen, as Greg the stegosaurus unwittingly turns carnivore.

Senior brand manager Ashley Barton said the campaign was built on an understanding of why consumers enjoy treating themselves with lollies.

It includes TVC, online content, and bite-sized social posts where the characters hang out, chat, and gently tease each other.
