A new meal delivery service targeting people with diabetes has kicked off in Sydney with plans to expand nationally by the end of the year.

Hit 100 has been developed by a team of entrepreneurs, diabetes experts and chefs, and is the only meal delivery service that specifically caters for people living with diabetes (Type 2, Type 1 and Gestational) and pre-diabetes.

It also includes a web-based 100 point food tracking system.

The new offering has been independently audited by the Glycemic Index Foundation, which has endorsed several of the program’s low GI recipes.

The meal program starts from $27 per day ($6.75 per serving) with Hit 100 providing breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks - delivered free and direct to doorsteps weekly.

Research conducted by Hit 100 with Diabetes NSW found that people living with diabetes found food and meal times the main area of concern and the biggest challenge when it came to better managing their health, specifically: knowing what to eat, the cost of healthy food, and not knowing where to get help.

Hit 100 founder & CEO Karn Ghosh said Hit 100 was specifically developed to address these issues.
