Aussie companies have been celebrating the legalisation of same-sex marriage with new launches and giveaways this month.
Chobani has launched a special edition ‘Love’ flavoured Chobani Flip made with mango passionfruit low-fat yogurt and a side of "love, happiness and sparkle", according to the company.
The product uses ingredients such as heart-shaped candy, edible confetti and glitter together to create the flavour of ‘Love’.
Only 50 of these celebratory tubs were made, and are available to win through a Facebook and Instagram giveaway.
Ben & Jerry’s was also in celebration mode with an ice cream giveway this week.
The Unilever-owned company, a long-time champion of LGBTIQ rights, threw a "moo-numental ice cream-filled party" to mark the change to marriage legislation.
On Monday 11 December, Australians were invited to visit a Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Store and pick up a free cone.
The Free Cone Night was the culmination of four years of campaigning for marriage equality, which kicked off in 2013 with a ‘Say I Dough’ campaign and included the launch of an ‘I dough, I dough’ flavour.
Also this week, Ben & Jerry's recommenced selling two scoops of the same ice cream flavour in its Scoop Shops nationwide, after introducing a ban on their sale earlier this year in a show of support for The Equality Campaign.
In addition to its ‘two scoop ban’, the ice cream maker created its own postal system across its Scoop Shops which enabled ice cream lovers and marriage equality supporters to directly contact their local MPs and encourage them to fight for marriage equality.
