Meal kit maker Marley Spoon has announced the Australian launch of “the world's cheapest meal kit” service, Dinnerly, following its successful roll-out in the US.

Like other offerings, the kit includes pre-measured ingredients that are delivered to the door, but Dinnerly meals, only cost from around $6 per serve.

It also boasts fewer ingredients, promising a quicker and easier 20-minute prep and “unfussy, affordable weeknight cooking” compared to existing meal kit offerings, which cost from around $10 per serve.

“Dinnerly was developed to make quality, home-cooking convenience accessible to millions more.” said co-founder Rolf Weber.

“Recipes use fewer ingredients, packing is streamlined and recipes are online, meaning Dinnerly fits within a typical family budget."

A set menu of three family-friendly recipes is currently on offer, costing $39 for two people, and $69 for four people, plus shipping of $8.95.

The menu is expected to expand in early April to six recipes every week, including vegetarian options.

Dinnerly is now available to order in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and ACT.
