Meal kit maker Marley Spoon has extended its delivery service to include Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Previously delivering to Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra only, the expansion comes as the result of Series B funding which has also enabled the company to accelerate its global growth plans.

Marley Spoon now delivers to every major city on the Eastern Seaboard, servicing 50 per cent of Australians.

The company provides seasonal ingredients and recipes which it claims minimise prep, cooking time, and food waste.

Local, in-house chefs create 12 new recipes each week for families and couples, with a seasonal menu which includes vegetarian and meat options.

After starting up in the US, UK, Germany, and The Netherlands, Marley Spoon Australia launched in June 2015 in Sydney.
